The charm of such an old hotel was so appealing. I loved the passageway to the room and all of the courtyards. And the location was fabulous.
The staff was professional and met our every need, but I would have liked them to offer more -- such as the history of the hotel, but then again, I didn't ask.

The location was perfect, close to all important sites. The hotel was charming. It was interesting to explore the labyrinth of corridors and learn the history. The room had a sitting area which made it very comfortable. The patios were lovely, as was the piano room; it was delightful to have a cocktail and listen to wonderful old tunes!
The bathroom was not set up for convenience with not enough space around the toilet. Other bathrooms in other rooms were remodeled and had better arrangements.

The location is so central, the staff so helpful and pleasant, so beautiful restoration of buildings, alleys and squares in itself, especially the spa and Virginia and its extreme sensitivity and care, and the buffet restaurant and the attention of the Chief room and staff.
Many foreigners with no education (no fault of the hotel), the cart a long time waitress is standing on the same site breaking the harmony of the whole and at some point narrow clogs. Should be informed to get to the hotel through the streets is a reckless adventure (which is no less so, an adventure to add to the experience.) Very difficult for disabled people.

We liked very much the place. Charming. personal too, breakfast good, price correct, confort ok, just bathroom very uncomfortable in room 16. but I alerady recommanded the hotel.
The service at the reception is nice, but not able to send faxes as we asked: no contact, twice the same number, without telling us, pretending everything is ok. It was IMPORTANT. And I noticed the evening at home. I was very desappointed. The reception's personal was very bad in this case, nor taking care enough and saying everything ok!

Our room was very nice, bed could have been better for such an "exclusive" hotel.
The staff were not necessarily friendly. The reception area is very small and cramped. Things were very tight -- maybe a part of the library could be made into a reception area.
