I had a brilliant stay at the Melia Araguaney Hotel in Santiago. I had just walked from Sarria on the Camino Way for five days and decided I wanted some luxury on my last night. I found the staff very helpful and friendly and the room was very comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about my stay here and am looking forward to going back again some day.

An excellent Hotel. Well located with the great advantage of having underground parking. Friendly and efficient staff. Good English spoken at reception. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Interesting collection of artwork throughout the Hotel. Some attention required to maintenance in the room - loose wall socket and towel rail.

Good ambience within the Hotel, excellent location, helpful courteous staff.
Coffee/tea making facilities within the room would be a great bonus!

This hotel is billed as a 5 Star. Who gave it that rating? It is really showing it's age and the rooms are in need of renovating. The artwork throughout the halls and lobbies is amazing however, and very enjoyable, and the staff is very helpful.

Wonderful staff, very helpful with my internet issues (not the hotel's fault but they bent over backwards to help anyways). They also helped me find an optician to fix my glasses which had broken the day I arrived in Santiago. Gracias. Great location, lots of great shops (and a handy Carrefour on the next block), close to the old city core, the Cathedral, etc. If you're just finishing the Camino, this makes a nice place to relax and pamper yourself for a couple of days.
