Campanile Arras - Saint Nicolas

Friendly staff, secure car parking.

Not easy to find from autoroute. Needed Satnav. Menu poor and not good value. Using standard menu across all Campaniles which seem now be prepared centrally? Quality of food left much to be desired and disappointed.

Stayed with Campanile several times / locations previously. Consistency always guaranteed. Beds this time excellent.

Some evidence of our room being "tired". Maybe end of season but small things like lack of toilet tissue detracted from the 100%

Pleasant meal but the buffet was not up to the standard of previous years' stays. Always friendly and courteous staff. Convenient location

Unusually, the room was not very clean - dirty skirting boards and the floor not too clean. Fire alarm went off at 1 a.m. and there was general confusion - no member of staff appeared for about 5 - 10 mins. No check was made of the guests and no instruction to return to the rooms.Fire drill needs practising! The breakfast buffet was not replenished very quickly and several guests commented on the ;ack of knives, serviettes and croissants. We have stayed at several Campanile hotels e.g. Chanas, Aix -en- Provence and have stayed at this one at least 5 times with no complaint but on this occasion it was not up to the usual standard.

I did not give you permission to potrżcenie funds from the card immediately on booking, ie. 24-11-2011 year. Everywhere on similar portals of "booking" tab is used only for purposes of warranty and measures do not descend from the "top", ie, as in my case two months before the service, which is illegal. Accordingly, no longer intend to use your service.

Everything was highly satisfactory.

We had two dinners and they were very good. Compliments to the chef! The buffets were excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was very good. Our kettle did not work and was immediately replaced. The formula is outdated and the rooms need revamping. I would recommend this hotel for position and food but not for cleanliness in the room, though the bed was very clean and comfortable. It just needs decorating and better cleaning and perhaps a new bathroom.

The floor in the entrance to the room was filthy and was not cleaned. The floors were not very clean. The walls of the room were scruffy and needed painting. The bathroom was scruffy. Only one hand towel was provided for 2 people, but there were two bath towels.

The online ad said three beds. However, one was a pullout from under the bed. If set up, there wasn't room to walk past it to get to the bathroom. Room is really only large enough for two bed so we were disappointed in that. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the rooms easy to reach from the parking area.
