Hotel Accademia

We have stayed at the Accademia several times and always enjoyed it, having previously stayed at Hotel White. This year we were disappointed with the room we were allocated (408) as it was much smaller than we have had previously and also rather airless, the only window being down a short corridor leading off the main room. Unfortunately we were not able to use the safe for over 24 hours as the previous occupants had left it locked - coincidentally this also happened to our friends who were staying in another room. We could not find out how to operate the air conditioning and were told it did not come on until June, so this added to the uncomfortable atmosphere in the room. If we return to Rome next year we may look around for another hotel. It is a shame because the staff at the hotel were excellent, all extremely helpful, and the food was first rate.

Fabulous location near the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and within good walking distance of Forum and other major landmarks. Hotel was very clean, modern and functional. Staff sometimes a little short, but otherwise all was great. Will recommend to all. Cafe News next door was very welcoming and well worth a few bevvies if you stay!
