The Normandy Hotel

Staff on arrival - totally disinterested and failed to communicate. Tried several times to call reception during early evening to booke table in restaurant (restaurant extention not working). 3 attempts before someone finally answered and to be told very curtly "we are busy, we have 2 weddings and an engagement party on"!

Very enjoyable stay with helpful staff and comfortable accommodation. Evening meal in hotel was excellent and courtesy bus service to and from airport was efficient and reliable. Slightly disappointed with condition of car on return from holiday, the floor of the drivers cabin was very mucky, and the wheels and bodywork were caked in mud.

We used the hotel as an overnight stay before going on holiday, check in was quick and easy, the room was clean and basic for an overnight stay. We had a job getting into room card took for ever to work had to get someone to help. The minibus to airport was on time and only took a few minutes which was good. On returning to hotel to pick up car we had a 40 minute wait to get out of car park as workers had moved a vehicle to do something and never put it back again leaving us blocked in so we had to wait for a hotel worker to come and shift it, this took forever which by this time you just want to get home. But all in all would use again as is so close to airport.
