Main reason for choosing Palazzo Galletti Abbiosi - Hostel: Location
Room and bathroom were spacious, bed was comfortable, and locataion was great for the events we were attending for Ravenna Mosaica- no need for a car. Breakfast was ample, coffee options were excellent and food service staff were friendly and helpful- front desk too.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, however, this establishment is missing a great opportunity at the bar in the late afternoon and into the night- we would have happily gone and stayed at the bar hotel if it had been an option- this was a group of 5-10 people who wanted to eat and drink- one almost felt guilt asking the front deak person to get them something to drink from the bar- even though they were very willing- If I were part of this hotel's managment staff, I would view this as an opportunity to be explored.

I was diagonally across the street from the Mosaic Studio where I was taking a week long class, so the location was perfect. The hotel is wonderfully upscale with fresh flowers in the public rooms, magazines and newspapers in many languages, a computer for guests to use, outdoor lounge area and the most wonderful breakfasts featuring delectable breakfast cakes, an assortment of Italian sliced meats,cheeses,fresh fruits and rolls.

A clean good value hotel in the centre of Ravenna, especially for those who are not in cars. Breakfast served until 10.30 is great.
Not like is hard but irritating/inexplicable is the issue of leaving a passport as deposit for hiring a bike since the hotel already has a credit card reference. I just do not understand what this achieves.
