Hotel Bologna

Great location, helpful (funny!) staff, spacious and clean apartment, breakfast about average. no problems.

A fine hotel with good, large rooms and a polite staff.

The hotel was disapointing. I paid extra money to stay in the Executive suite and was promised three seperate beds and a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is actually a jacuzzi bath, not the one in the photo. When we arrived we were put into a beautiful room but was later informed we had been mistakenly placed in the wrong room and moved. Our new room had 2 Queen beds so I had to share with my friend. I went to Prague with a large group and the other people stayed in far nicer apartments for the same price. Also there were building works going on and we were woken each morning with the noise of hammering which lasted for a long time.

This was my sixth stay in prague but the first at bologna, the location in my opinion is very good as you are in walking distance to the majority of the attractions. i would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit prague on a budget holiday who wants to be close to the centre, rooms could do with some updating, and i had to buy glasses and cups as they were not available, even though it was self catering. MAJOR POINT OF INTEREST:- The lift was not working during our stay and as we were on the third floor there was a lot of walking upstairs to get to the room.

The hotel was not clean. The room was not cleaned properly in the morning and there was no toiletpaper at checkin. There was in a suite for four persons 1 piece of soap and nothing else. No more soap was given the following morning. The spa, which we would have liked to pay for, cotained very dirty and smelly water and it was not possible to change or clean the water durig our stay. One of our beds was broken at arrival and we had to put our youngest in that bed because he was the only one who wouldnt make it fall down. The bed was not changed before the next afternoon after 3 requests.

We stayed in the Residence Bologna for a bit more that one week in the very beginning of June, 2007. If you need cheap and clean hotel with breakfast buffee with hot coffee in Prague 1, this is what you need exactly. You will find neither luxury in rooms, nor jacuzzi in bathroom, nor main dishes in table service restaurant. But you will have a quite cosy room with bathroom and kitchenette, which will be cleaned daily, and quite street outside, where there are no city trams. Don't forget, you will stay in Prague 1. For us that was excellent balance between quality and price.
