Hotel Regent

This hotel clearly needs a major overhaul!! Many of the carpets both in communal areas and rooms are heavily stained and well worn. Paintwork is both tired and dirty. Furniture is of poor standard and sometimes flimsy. Lack of anywhere in the room to hang clothes. Bathroom passed, but not really up to three star standards, shower was poor. The bed clothes were clean though. The tv and air-conditioning had both seen better days and could have worked better. Lifts probably would not meet EU standards/regulations on safety, as no automatic doors! The hotel gave the impression of an establishment dating from the sixties - NOT VERY IMPRESSIVE!! Staff were polite.

Over all good value and across the street from the beach. Had an early check out so missed breakfast. Staff were helpful. Room had TV, A/C, balcony. Bathroom with shower.

Too bad that the questionnaire is in English, I must say that overall, we had no problème.Tout was very reserved.

My general impression of the hotel is good. The staffs are friendly,flexibel and helpful. We had a triple room and even with 3 single beds, there was still good room to move about. However the italien-style breakfast was of very poor quality, more often than not the slice bread and bread buns were stale and were inedible! There were very few other alternatives. The coffee machine in the dining room was awful too, there were clumps of undissolved mælk powder in them. A little refridgerater would be a great access.

We asked for a tripple room but they gave us a double room at first! Then, we were moved to other with three beds but only two towels... (actually... ...not very promissing, is it?) Breakfast buffet was enough but not so assorted as in other hotels. I've heard that Italian hotels are not so good as the same category hotels in Spain... ...it could be the reason of my comments. Hotel Regent is good but not lovely, new nor exquisite. It's just a place were sleep and get confortable.
