Main reason for choosing Novex: Location
Very friendly staff. Ideal for Chinatown interested. Position directly in china town. Great restaurants and many markets in the immediate vicinity. About 4min walk to subway station Maison Blanche.
Very old equipment, very worn (bath, toilet, bed and mattress, carpet, walls). Due to the heavy use it looks despite cleaning is not hygienic. But there was fortunately no cockroaches.

Even a cheap Hotel, you expect basic but clean. This was filth. The curtains were black, the room was damp and smelt musty, the door was covered in mould and there was a leak from the upstairs shower, the skirting and pipes were filthy and the carpet tiles were dirty and damp.

I have particularly appreciated the kindness of the staff. Comfort was minimalist, exactly how I like it, and the way I have been received by the staff, way beyond that of four stars hotels, has made me forget I was there for business.
