Hotel Des Nations Saint Germain

The picture of the room on the website completely misrepresents this hotel. The rooms are genuinely the smallest I have ever stayed in. There was only one point in the room where myself and my boyfriend could both pass at one time. It was essentially a double bed with a door near by. The bathroom was tiny with no shower curtain and no drainage holes in the floor. Therefore every shower led to a flooding experience. We spoke about changing rooms but were told that as we had checked in late in the evening this was the last room available unless we wanted a twin. It was not acceptable. On the positive side the location was very good. A 10 minute stride out to Notre Dame and the main areas. We could not find anywhere pleasant to eat in the immediate locality but this was not an issue due to the relative proximity to the remainder of Paris. Whilst the staff were polite and the location was great I would not recommend this hotel.

Small (10 rooms) per floor, clean hotel, small rooms, TV in french only, lot of different nationality restaurants and pubs around hotel

The hotel was clean and in a good location. The rooms were small, but that is normal for european hotels. The staff at the check-in desk was not that knowledgable and did not call us for a wake up call when we asked them to.
