The hotel is conveniently located near the Shannon Airport.
Our room was musty, there was very little ventilation. The bathroom was disgusting. There was mold around the majority of the tub, and the tub liner they gave in the room was black in spots so we refused to use it. We had planned on bathing the kids there prior to us leaving the next morning. Consequently we did not expose them to the mold. The hotel has amenities for kids and families, however, I never saw anyone monitoring the kids play room. Children continued to run up and down corridors late into the night, despite parents being given a page upon registering that that kind of behaviour was not tolerated. The bar has a limited menu, and seating was an issue.

I liked the size of the room but not where it was situated. The staff in the main dining room where so friendly and polite at all times. Also the staff in the other eating area where also very helpful and polite at all times. Very efficient also.
I did not like the fact that I found hair in the bath plug hole which was disgusting. I also did not like the fact that I specifically asked for a room with twin beds overlooking golf area a quite area. But when we went to check in a Reception had to wait over an hour for room as the room was not cleaned and had to wait for another bed to be put into the room as there was only a Double. Also we ended up with a room overlooking pool which seemed to have the bar underneath as we could hear a lot of noise and my Daughter had to be up early in the morning to dance at the All Irelands and International Championships. Personally my Daughter and I did not enjoy our stay there because sleep deprivation is a awful especially when you have to dance in a major competition that you practiced all year for

Very nice in the evenings with the live music. Beds good and a lot of rooms they were renovated
Very busy with all the small children: we didn't now that it was a family hotel, but we met nice people. A pitty it was in the middle of nowhere, so no walk to a pub in the evening.

Very spacious family room
We took the wrong exit for the hotel on our way, and I tried phoning the hotel reception twice to determine the correct directions, but the phone went unanswered.

We stayed twice, once upon arriving at Shannon airport, then 10 days later, upon departure. Facilities were adequate, not exceptional. It was pretty convenient to the airport and pretty easy access from the highway. We found the staff, particularly during our first visit, to be very helpful and accomodating, including allowing for an early check in. (something really appreciated after a sleepless night in an airplane.) Our first visit we were in a first floor room with a lovely view. Our second visit found us on the second floor, with no elevator. As we are in our 60's with some medical issues, we would have preferred a first floor room. Staff did assist us with getting our heavy luggage up the stairs. The view from our window was that of a roof with apparatus, possibly the heating/ air conditioning system(?) Our schedules during these visits did not allow us to try out the leisure facilities.

The staff was pleasant and helpful and the hotel was convenient to the airport. Price was modest.

This is a nice hotel, but a bit faded glory.

The price is very reasonable. the staff is very friendly.
There was a group of 200 young Americans, the rest was so far away.

Main reason for choosing The Inn at Dromoland: Rate

The room was not clean, right on entering you could take a look in the toilet bowl, in the still clung the remains of the predecessor. I also liked a bath times, but not in this tub. The breakfast (continental) was also rather poor, nothing but toast and jam. On the second day we had breakfast in our room with purchased food.
