The Tuscan hotel is managed 'by the Plaza Hotel (5 *) so we all benefited from the service of this hotel (pool, spa small bf), the plaza is directly across from Tuscan.
The Tuscany hotel does not deserve the 4 star Hotel needs a renovation (a makeover) Furniture and Deco have not been changed since the 80's.

The reception staff, cleanliness and comfort of the room. But we have been directed to the "Royal Plaza" (another star) unless we are given reason. And it was great, no problem! If I go back to Montreux, I stay there again.

It would have been helpful ahead of time(making reservations) that one needed to register and receive room key across the street,actually naming that hotel. Hotel is quite close, walking distance, to the train station but as it was I needed to pay a sizable taxi bill to have him tell me the direction and actual location.
