The Rooms were very nice and quiet location despite street.

The breakfast room is somewhat small, a Vitriers stands in front of the breakfast room on the floor, the slightly rude staff at breakfast. The elevators very very small, the departure or stairway to the garage was not written and the road is like a maze.

Beautiful rooms, excellent housekeeping, hotel location

What a find! Our 4-day stay could not have been better. The rooms were large and well appointed and beautifully decorated. The baths with bidets were large and clean. All rooms have ample closet space and digital locking safes. Suites with kitchenettes are available. The modest room price (for that area of Milan) included an incredible breakfast buffet with multiple types of pastries, jucies, fresh fruits, cereal, eggs, yogurt, cheeses, and meats. It was the mot extensive spread we have ever seen in a beautiful dining room with china, cloth napkins, with espresso and cappuccino made to order. The multi-lingual staff was polite, helpful and informative and directed us to area restaurants that were excellent. Parking directly under the hotel was most convienient, reasonable and secure. This is a big advantage in a city las arge as Milan. Two lifts access the rooms on the upper six floors. The hotel is undergoing renovation which includes new room doors with electronic RFID card key systems. The location of the Hotel Romana Residence was within a comfortable walk SW of the city center with the Duomo, La Scala, and the VE-II Mall.

Unfortunately the hotel is on the main road to the nearby Milan Polyclinic and the ambulance sirens are initally noticeable even with the double glazing of the windows, but you adapt. Light sleepers might request an upper floor room or the side of the residence away from the street. As of our visit there was internet access free only in the lobby and WiFi by subscription.

When I left, I asked a taxi to the reception to take me to the airport and the receptionist, without telling me, he called a special taxi, who charged 20 Euros beyond the value that would be charged for a normal taxi, which I only found the end the race when the driver informed me the value and expertise of the service, by which I complained to the receptionist.
