The Rubens at the Palace

Fantastic location, opposite Buckingham Palace ! We arrived very late, but felt welcome, despite the late hour. In the morning reception staff enquired if we slept well... Special mention for the extremely helpful concierge (Michael).

Excellent as always. Cleanliness of the rooms are of a very high standard with attention to detail catered for. Staff, whether Maid, Receptionist, Chief, Waiters, Porters, etc are all very welcoming and friendly - it matters and goes along way for someone like myself who is normally a single traveller whether it be on business or pleasure - thank you.

Got in late. We booked 3 rooms. One for my husband and I, one for my daughter and her friend and one for my daughter's friend's parents. We requested the rooms be near each other but only 2 were. The girls were put into a smoking room and we specifically requested non smoking. They changed the girls room to my daughter's friend's parents room as they were given a room with twin beds. They were moved away from us to a lareger room. The first night we heard people having sex while we were in the hallway. The walls are paper thin. Other than that it was a good location and a clean room. The floors were a bit sqeeky.

Probably london's best hotel taking in many factors and our experience....also the genuine staff demeanor of the palace
