The Grand at Trafalgar Square

The location

We called the front desk about the heat our first evening as while set to auto, the fan never shut off and the air blew only cold. Also the toilet did not thoroughly flush regardless of which button you used.

Housekeeping knocked at silly o/clock and entered our room, we were in bed asleep! If you pay to stay in a hotel for 1 night, do you expect to be woken up?

Unfortunately we could not use the reservation, by the illness of my wife, who could not travel. We have communicated this hotel. m.vr.gr.

I usually travel by coach to Victoria Coach Station and stay at a much cheaper place just around the corner... and enjoy the walks through St. James Park to cinemas, theatres, shops etc. in the West End. However, being unable to reach the hotel via internet (page jerking up and down, then two nights stated as costing more than 3x one night!); and their phone made a continuous buzzing sound when I tried to call... I decided to settle for one night in your more expensive (but much more accessible to the West End) hotel. I had decided to take the train also, which enabled arrival in London two hours earlier, and you were walkable from W'loo station. A caregiver allowance is meagre and I couldn't possibly have stayed two nights - but would come again as long as your rates don't increase!

Nice hotel and very centrally located

Very good location, and for English conditions, very good standard.

A lot of traffic in the street outside. Constant congestion 24-7. A room facing the back yard is preferable.
