Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel & SPA

Th spa facility and the breakfast was super fantastic

Parking was too expensive. And check out could be later than 11am.Considering checking wss at 2pm

I call my stay at pestana home away from home, very comfortable and staff very hospitable. Its a very nice hotel to stay in, the last stay was my third in a period of six month, so its an indication of how good a hotel is pestana.

We stayed at the Pestana Hotel because my young son, had an appointment at the Lister Hospital. We have stayed here before for the same reason. My son had 10 days earlier had an operation & we were returning to London to see his eye specialist. The Staff were very polite, attentive & smiling. Room was lovely, fresh & clean.

We had to return to Victoria Coach Station. The receptionist asked if we would like her to book a taxi....this seemed very helpful. However, the taxi turned up, not the normal black cabs, but an expensive looking car!! The fare cost us 10 pounds, whereas, the day before the fare cost me 3 pounds in a black taxi. The Taxi driver offered to drive us the 16 miles to Heathrow for 45 pounds!!, we declined, because we already had our coach tickets which cost us 7 pounds total & it was far too expensive. He then dropped us the wrong side for the coach station, which would mean us having to cross the busy forecourt of coaches, so, we still had to walk quite a way with our suitcases and bags. I think the Pestana staff should let you know if they book their own taxi's & give people a quote for the approximate cost of the fare...then people have a choice.

THE ROOM WAS EXCELLENT AND WOULD GIVE THIS HOTEL 5 STARS

The view of the old power station (window near lifts), proximity to Battersea Park and Chelsea. Easy to park and reasonably priced, (£20 for 24 hrs) though this was not to do with the hotel, it is a factor when choosing it.

The wallpaper, black geometric spider's webs, not at all restful. I could not look at it! Lack of wholemeal toast at breakfast.
