London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale

Staff were helpful approachable;e and the check in staff were excellent

The communal corridors and carpets on floors in need of repacement

The hotel was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful and I loved the choice of beds. It was also great that there was an ice machine on each floor.

The only criticism was that I had to have my credit card swiped even though I told them that I wouldn't be purchasing any thing during our stay.

I thought the hotel was clean and had good facilites. It was my friends party which was on the premises so it was convenient to stay there. The food at the pary was very good and the service was good as well. It would of be nice to have some grren tea in the room as well as earl grey.

In our room 229 the wallpaper was loose on one side and although the shower was very nice, the plumbing made a lot of noise after we used the shower. Also the smoke alarm was flashing red which I assume meant the battery was low.

The valance on the bed was filthy, the fridge/minibar was empty you had to take the kettle to a plug on the floor to boil the water then you were left with 4 pots of milk....it was an obstacle course to get to the pool. The bar lifeless over priced Vodka tonic coffee £14 the pub over the road far more comfortable half the price. The ceiling in the bedroom needed a good paint stained in fact the whole room needed updating and decorating the furniture looked as though it had been bought from second hand shop. The prints on the wall I think were purchased from the pound shop on Kilburn High Street. The hallways were dull and depressing.....could go on but haven`t the time.

Very unhappy about the fact that we had paid for the room and told us that it was not paid! He had returned by mail the invoice to be paid back in a second time!
