Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington

There was a very bad smell in the bathroom coming from the sink. I don't know why this was not corrected, it was the first thing we could smell when we walked in the door (room 1119). There was very poor lighting in the room in terms of no ceiling light, and the windows did not open to get fresh air into the room other than through the air conditioning which was too noisy to leave on at night.

The quality of the ºhotel is high, being very well situated. I specially valued its being air cooling, mainly during the heat wave. the only fault was the strong smell of desinfectant in the room to which you got used after some time.

Thought the breakfast not great, no teapots, fried eggs cold. Staff very helpful in getting business faxes.

Our stay was very pleasant with our room being clean and tidy and all of our needs were catered for.

On arrival, the hotel did not look great from the outside, but once inside it was very nice.

The standard is high, the staff helpful and courteous; cleaning impeccable, the rooms comfortable and well equipped, the location is very happy. The only drawback: it was the pre-payment and are still waiting for the bill. This did not prevent my fellow travelers to enjoy the many positive sides.

Sdb rather old (black gaskets and worn), non-adjustable shower head .... we wanted a drink on 31/12 at 1:30 am, we were denied access at the bar while the room was full, for because they are going to close .... The mini bar was empty ... services have not really been expected to rdv ...

Not enough Safe Deposit facilities, none in the rooms. But if you insist they will put a sealed envelope in their safe. Contact Security

Good reception, very comfortable, bedroom and bathroom too small to extra level. good value for money.
