Some applliances and facilities older and tattier than i expected of a four star hotel but overall a pleasant stay

The Concierge service was good and the location was excellent since we arrived at gatwick airport and took the train in to Victoria station
The rooms are miniscule - we did not speak to one customer who did not find the accomodation way too small and entirely unsatisfactory for this standard of hotel.The first room we were offered was so small you had to sidle past the beds to get in! The second room had two single beds which were almost too thin for me and I am NOT vastly overweight! Aircon/Heating was erratic and there was a huge ring in the floor which nearly broke by foot when I stubbed my toe on it! Overall quality of room was less than 2 star!

Beautiful hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were great The room was extremely hot. The in room free standing AC module's hose was not extended out the window, and being a dumb, spoiled American, I didn't realize that was a requirement until a maintenance person finally showed up after I called down for assistance because the AC wasn't doing it's job.

Outstanding Staff and location
A bit pricey by American standards, but most everything in Europe is more expensive than in US, this was an eye opener.
