Crowne Plaza Liverpool - John Lennon Airport, an IHG Hotel

I had a small child with me we got a early checkin 9am which let him get a sleep which was great and also had a late check out which was great again.

One small thing we had breakfast when we arrived which was not included in our stay so we had to pay which was fine but my boy had 2 sausages and a glass of orange juice which cost me 8 pound the same as my full breakfast but the early checkin made up for that all in all ok.

Lovely art deco building, easy to get to, and with a number of interesting features (gym in next door aircraft hangar, old aircraft situated outside the reception entrance). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room is reasonably well appointed. Our family room had two double beds and there was enough space for us all. Evening meal in the restaurant was good - although the vegetarian options were a bit limited.

Our "family" room was overlooking the bar and "entertainment" room. On the Saturday night a raucous wedding went on until after midnight keeping us up. If the hotel needs to run these events they should make sure they don't interfere with the normal hotel guests. Surely "family" rooms could be situated on the other side of the hotel? The breakfast was fairly ordinary and although the staff tried hard to locate the promised vegetarian sausages it took ages. The "family" room with two double beds (we had booked in with our two children) only had two sets of towels etc. It was clear they had not set it up for us.

We found the room very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much. The tea facilites were very welcome after a long day travelling. It is located close to the airport and was very handy for our journey both to and from the airport. It was a great spot to get the bus into town and i would highly reccommend it to others.

Wake Up and pre-booked taxi arrived just at the right time. Great!.

Does it say that the hotel has shuttle bus to the airport, but they have not. Disconcerted.

We had a lovely stay, the staff were all most friendly and helpful, and efficient

Only one thing was less than perfect but it was quite an irritation; the TV was set to a low volume which it was impossible to change. We had a very early stsrt the net morning so looked forward to an early night and watching some TV to send us to sleep. it wasn't possible as neither of us could hear it, which was very frutrating. i mentioned this to a mmber of staff & he said it was a very common complaint. I appreciate your reasons but the volume does need to be set much higher.
