Very warm, friendly and almost invisible staff. Not the classic hotel breakfast of bad coffee but good cheese and good meat and excellent "Portuguese croissants and bread," a good idea of the kitchen and self-service bar and then on the beautiful terrace ...

What a jewel! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff was never-ending in their efforts to satisfy. The off-beat charm of the place was a welcome change from the sterile offerings of other hotels. We look forward to returning.

Our second visit to this small hotel and, as before, we found a friendly welcome. The hotel has a homely atmosphere and the accomodation is spacious and comfortably furnished. Staff are always on hand to help. Nothing is too much trouble. It is exceptionally well run. There is a lift to all floors and to the library which has panoramic views from an outdoor terrace. For us it's the best location. A good bus service runs from outside the hotel to central Lisbon and along to Belem. We highly recommend this little gem but it should be noted that evening meals are not provided which may not suit everyone. We enjoy eating local Portugese cuisine.

Hotel very nice, charming staff.

If you plan to stay in this hotel, insist on a room overlooking the garden and not on the street. Otherwise use earplugs, I speak from experience. The room on the street are very noisy, due to passages from cars (the street is paved to make matters worse). Other than that, this hotel is okay, but not at the 4 star hotels which are indicated ( rather a level of a 3 star French). A good note for the breakfast is really very good (although there is sometimes the tail ...). Customers have two bars in the hotel, but beware, contrary to what is stated in the presentation of the hotel, the drinks are not free to hotel guests (we were charged for two small coffees from the bar ...). The decor and general atmosphere are very nice. last detail: the TV did not work in room (room 21).
