Overall everything is nice and ok.

Excellent shuttle service to/from airport very covenient and good Traffic time.

It was a terrible experience; false advertising: the hotel is about 30 km from the airport, 25 Euros taxidrive for 15 minutes on freeway. There were none of the 3 restaurants available, only a bar, where they offered frozen pizzas, pasta and hamburger, accompanied by low quality wines. In the ad, there was some french restaurant, again false advertisement. The hotel is in an industrial area, no facilities awailable for meals; I practically starved. The room would have been o.k., if you could get fresh air; there is no window open, and the fan was shut off; the so called modern bathroom had a swinging door, open at the top and bottom, all the steam came right into the room. The so called modern room and bathroom were as cheerful as a funeral parlor; and the rest of the hote areas as well. The fantastic modern bathroom facilities were such that you either burned yourself with steaming hot water in the shower or froze with cold water; no way to figure out how to adjust the temperature. My only reason to stay there was to be close to the airport; that did not materialize in this hotel, which was way too expensive for the lousy conditions. I would never return to any Park Plaza hotels anywhere in the world, if they can get away with such false advertising.

Staff were friendly, check in and check out were very smooth and quick. The decor was great, and I appreciated the smoking area with chairs and tables. The location was very convenient, and overall it was a very positive first experience of Amsterdam, I will certainly be recommending it to others.

I felt that the lighting was very low in the bedroom - even with all the lamps on, it seemed too dim (although the room in general was great). I also felt that the room service menu was very limited.

Room booked for 4 and prepared for 2; unfinished household (dirty linen left in the room), breakfast disastrous! cold dishes, cold reception by the head (obviously problems due to the presence of several groups) hot drinks machine breakdown; ban the person responsible for changing dining room open air current near the door, very little choices at the buffet next to any group; inability to replenish the buffet
