Swiss-Chalet Merlischachen - Romantik Schloss-Hotel am See

Great overall. Very friendly staff. Lovely rooms and location.

A collection of houses, each of which a small hotel in its own right. One by lake, one on other side of road and one up the hill 500m from the main hotel. We were in teh one up the hill. The room was large, excellently appointed, with a magnificent view over the lake and mountains. There was a roof garden, which would have benefited from loungers, and a dining room, which however was only used (May) for breakfast - dinner bing available in the middle hotel. Hotel nearest the lake has a small lakelside 'park' with lawn, small refreshments hut, an area for swimming, and next to boat landing stage. Plenty of car parking available. Could not get the wireless internet to work, but was able to use business lounge. Staff spoke english and were very helpful. Lunch/dinner menu avaialble with reasonable range of prices.
