The sheer comfort throughout and old fashioned courtesy displayed by the staff at all times. I particularly liked the lake view from out balcony and the Library room with free internet access. The proximity to Muckross house was wonderful.. within walking distance. We felt really comfortable , cosy and relaxed every moment of our stay. We will be back again soon hopefully.

Its the view isn't it; the room was extremely comfortable. staff and services were efficient and without fault. Walks to muckross elating. we "discovered" the churchyard at kilegy -- its quite historical. We are biased as we had our wedding in the LAKE HOTEL in 1972. wishing you continued success.
The a la carte menu was a little restricted.

The view was stunning ! Peace and tranquility ! Loved seeing the deer in the grounds. Lovely old part of the building. Breakfast was good.Location good for seeing the sights. Although we did not need the service of the gentleman who gave out information he seemed to be very popular with some of the guests.A good idea. Baskets of fruit available for guests.
Eveing meal menu was expensive , not very interesting and did not change.We ate out after the first two nights.Guests who talked late into the night could be heard through the walls of the bedrooms.

We enjoyed the location and the layout.We were disappointed with the set dinner and felt it was overpriced.Also on returning to our room on the evening before we left there was an offer to stay an extra night for €55 each.Apart from being too late (we had booked another hotel in Killarney that day)it created the impression the price charged for the 2 nights we stayed was excessive.The final irritant(minor) was when we arrived there were 2 complimentary small bottles of water left in our room,we mistakenly assumed they would be replaced when then the room was cleaned so a further trip to the bar was neccessary for water to take tablets.

We found this hotel to be top class. The staff were friendly without being over bearing. the food we excellent and the location heavenly. We will return again, and we have sung the praises of this lovely hotel to all our friends.

It is so quiet and restful it feels like you are in the heart of the country, yet the town is at your doorstep.

What a beautifully placed hotel! We were delighted at the wonderful view from our hotel room, which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very polite and we never had t wait long for room service. The food in the bistro was great, we didn't try the restaurant as it was quite expensive.

Everything was very clean, the hotel bars were very cosy and the hot tub, steam room and sauna was great.
Only fresh bottled water in our room when we got there. We thought we would get a bottle every day as it was 4 star and we had that at the holiday inn. More extensive room service menu.
