Dromhall Hotel

Most enjoyable stay. Tea making facilities in the room would be welcome. I was in the first floor bedroom. There was a function in the ballroom underneath and I might as well have been at it. No sound proofing I would imagine. The music stopped at 1.45 am. I must say that I was offered an alternative bedroom by the manager when I commented on the noise, but at that stage, I did not see the point of moving.

The bedrooms could do with refurbishment. Dust around the edge of wardrobe.

I booked dromhall because of its 4 star rating and location. A twin room at 170 euro a night with breakfast included, not cheap but i believed that it was probably 4 star prices and booked hotel. On checking in the staff were excellent and remained so throughout stay. However I found that once passed reception the hotel was more like a 3 star than 4 star. The room was very basic. There was not as much as a drink of water or indeed coffee making facilities in the room. Even B&B have this now. The main restaurant was not open and if I had known that I would have booked somewhere else as the reason for visit was wifes birthday and resulting in having to go to town centre for restaurant. The bistro and bar menu was all that was available at hotel. I will not be coming back. However as I said staff were at all times professional. Oh another point, breakfast in the hotel, all was great except half way through my breakfast the staff began to clear the breakfast room before i was even half finished. I could go on but I have said enough. view from room at rear of hotel was terrible. 4 star prices for a 3 star hotel.
