Main reason for choosing The Eliott Hotel: Reputation
We are Orthodox Jews who were staying in Gibraltar over the Sabbath. They were aware of our particular requirements and ensured that these were completely met.
The room that they gave us was not made up and they had to change us to an adjacent room. They did this quickly and professionally.
I tnink that in this day and age WIFI should be free.

Position close to shops and bars
The roof restaurant was very disappointing. VERY slow think there were only two staff available. 20 minutes to wait for a drink!! Food and menu not very exciting. A great pity as the views from there were amazing. Windows could have done with a clean though.

Location and staff (when you find them).
They took too long to answer the phone. Clients failed to get through. Dining room and pool dirty. Rooms looking tired as did the staff. The problem is there is no competition.

Pleasant and convenient for the town and office.
Internet connection was slow and very unreliable. Could not log in for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Guests are treated as an inconveniance and something to be tolerated. This comment is not applicable to bedroom staff and those at the very bottom level of employment, but does include waiting staff.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Liked the location with M+S on the doorstep!. Will definitely return to Gib and to this hotel.

View to sea, restaurant.
Walk uphill, some shabby or dated finishes, balcony was bare and in poor repair/decor.
