Staff friendly and helpful

No airport shuttle, not a car rental service, room right next to elevator means big noise

Room smelled of smoke, the room is directly connected to the adjoining room, allowing the conversation to the neighbors to understand. Room was small and not very nice next to the elevator. Typical areas where you have buried one person can stop.

Staff were all very good, breakfast was good and the hotel had an overall clean and friendly atmosphere. Towels and toiletries relaced daily.

Room was very tight for 2 persons staying 3 days. The computer for guest use was slow and with glitches, i would normally expect a better service here and maybe 2 or 3 computers.

Very smart hotel, very friendly welcome and peaceful atmosphere despite its location on the somewhat busier Europalaan. Ideal for us because at the Genk a stone's throw from downtown ... Definitely recommended!

* Rooms and beds too small, stuffy, open windows gives traffic "noise" noise since the hotel is located in the center, so again what are advantages. There is a ventilator but it is not silent, the fan (tabletop) is large but does not really cooling airflow. Noise in bathroom plumbing adjoining room. One point is not really belong here but what I like to bring to your attention: smokers can smoke outside the entrance there are chairs and an ashtray, I find that very amusing, if not smoking, so the smoke blows in and score as you walk through a smoky bar air direction. * There waren7 rooms we booked.

We stayed at Hotel ECU whilst in Belgium for Pukkelpop, so the hotel is in an excellent location as it is just opposite the train station. The staff were also very friendly and the receptionist was a great help. Although there wasn't a lot to do in Genk, there is a couple of lovely restaurants and it is a really clean and friendly town.

I would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room, it wasn't until we got there that we realised that these facilities are not offered with a comfort room. There was also a bit of confusion about breakfasts, we decided we weren't going to have breakfasts every morning because we couldn't afford it, but then when it came to paying our bill it turned out that on arrival us answering 'yes' to reserving a table for breakfast meant that we automatically paid for breakfast every morning of our stay. I was very upset about this and although we explained to the staff that we didn't know that is what that meant we were not offered a refund.
