Queens Hotel and Nightclub

One night spend was very comfortable and the staff were very pleasant

Hi, we enjoyed our stay at queens hotel. the rooms were lovely,the location was great. i would stay again. i thought the night club was fab. very big and clean.

All in all the hotel was great value for money but it really needs a bit of modernisation.

Perhaps this is a uniquely American perspective, but one would hope that a downtown hotel in a fairly large town would have complimentary internet access. I'm not sure what internet costs are like in Ireland for providers, but it seems like most centrally located US hotels are able to absorb the cost of a broadband connection and a wireless router. Really, that's my only criticism. The desk staff was unfailingly attentive and polite, our reservation was recognized immediately, and we were provided with parking vouchers for the pay lot nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, service was excellent, and the door is well watched at night. Nighttime was a bit noisy -- but that comes with staying in a downtown hotel during a weekend or holiday.

I asked on the night of our arrival if breakfast was included and was told that a continental breakfast was included and was served until 10.30am. The next morning we went down for breakfast at 10.10am and were told that there was only tea and toast.

Generally a good hotel with no frills.
