Proximity to city Centre and the use of a pool for the children.
The delay in checking in it took 2 hours beyond 2pm check in time. Staff wavered the parking charge but some residents were offered drinks and discounts depending on how much they complained.

Very good location
We had 3 double rooms on the 6th floor and they were far too hot and it was difficult to sleep. All 3 couples/rooms were affected. We tried altering what we thought was the air conditioning but this had no effect. The staff on reception did not seem overly concerned and just said that they would get someone from maintainance to have a look.

The room was very comfortable. Having separate bath and shower and toilet was good. Having an iron and board. Liked the provision of a phone to call a taxi.
Carpet in the room needed cleaning. Hanging and draw space size was rather small.

Very unhappy about the fact that we had paid for the room and told us that it was not paid! He had returned by mail the invoice to be paid back in a second time!

The excellent and welcoming staff, started our short stay on the right note. The rooms cleanliness and comfort, along with the breakfast the following morning completed our Novotel experience in Edinburgh.
Because of this I would strongly recommend this hotel to anybody looking to take a break in Edinburgh.

The location of the hotel, possibility to park the car in the basement of the hotel at a cost correct, we enjoyed a very affordable promotion for this type of hotel, its services and buffet breakfast inclus.Nous have not had time to benefit from the spa.
