The central location was great and would suggest staying in a room in the back because Hunter Square a partying spot in the wee hours! The staff nicely accommodated us with that request upon return from our tour in the west and north. The reception people were very courteous and kind. Stacey was wonderful! The others were very good too. They always made time for us.
I was there in June. Not sure if if I were there in warmer weather if The room would be cool enough for me to sleep well!
Face and hand towels would be good. Staff was very helpful and quick to respond to any request or question.

My husband and I were very satisfied with every aspect of our stay at the ibis in Edinburgh. The staff were particularly helpful and polite, the breakfasts were delicious and unlike many hotels, continued to replace all the cooked food. The rooms are big enough and were spotlessly clean. We had a very positive experience! Thank you.

Central location
The TV was terrible - very clumsy longwinded menu system and then you find out you have to pay to hear some music -and Wifi was bad and also had to be paid for - I'll be staying somewhere else next time simply because of that.

We appreciated the proximity of the Ibis to the Royal Mile.
We did not appreciate your one package of cookies (for 3 days), 1 bath towel (no hand towel) and 1 pillow rule. It appeared stingy. Also it was the only accomodation of our 14 nights in Scotland that did not include a prepared hot breakfast. In addition there were no complimentary toiletries. We did not feel welcome.

The location for our visit was excellent
Although it was the Fringe Festival time in Edinburgh, I felt the price was was too high for what the hotel offers. We were also charged two pounds per bag to store our cases even though we picked then up at one o'clock

The staff were very helpful & knowledgable
The allocation of one towel only, an additional handtowel would have been useful.
A more generous allocation of coffee and tea would have been appreciated as would access to bottled water considering the temperature outside & in the room during our stay.

Location - great. v. clean. Good breakfast buffet, esp the fresh fruit salad
Could have done with some more towels. Only 1 each was a bit sparse. ?? a hand towel too would be good.
Also some more t bags and milk. Did ask, but they did not come.
