The stay at the Dunboyne Castle was very good. We were disappointed though, that the spa was closed an hour earlier on Saturday then advertised. We went down at 4.30 and couldnt use the steamroom as it was closed, the beachroom and the citrus bar were all closed. I think that we should have been told to check into the desk in the dining room before sitting down at a table for breakfast or dinner. The staff on duty were very impulsive with regard to calling the customer back. I felt I had done something wrong! bearing in mind that the desk in the dining room is concealed behind a doorway. The menu for dinner was exactly the same for the two nights we stayed. No gluten free food advertised. The choices were very limited. I was disappointed with that.

The hotel is very comfortable and in a lovely location. We had attended a wedding reception, the food and service was very good. Unfortunately the following morning in the breakfast room we found that although there were lots of staff on duty floating about, removing plates etc., we had to take butter from another table, request our tea and toast at least twice and had finished our breakfast when the tea arrived.

We had a lovely stay at Dunboyne. Upon arrival, the room wasn't made up as it should have been, but it was fixed in no time at all. The hotel has a lovely feel about it and is very relaxing!

My stay in the hotel was very pleasant, my brother got married here & I must admit the staff were extremely helpful, pleasant & professional. Whilst it is a new hotel, it has a lot of elegance & class.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel , the grounds and facilities were great. We ate in a little italian restaurant in the village as the hotel restaurant was booked up. The food and service was fab and very authentic! the spa facilities were great , we were lucky with the sunny weather so enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. ... I feel this should be included in the price as €25 p/p is a bit steep for this !

We really enjoyed our stay with you. The only isuse would be the selection of food in the restaurant was not great and the food was not very tasty. we would recommend that a wider variety of food be on offer.
