Talbot Hotel Stillorgan

The hotel is very good, in a location away from the center, with excellent restaurant and pub. Room small but comfortable.

Hotel is excellent. Staff were most helpful and very friendly. The food in restaurant and bar was exceptionally good. Many thanks.

I felt the reception staff were overworked,there should have been a designated person to answer the telephone only whilst others did the checking in and out!

STAFF NOT AS INFORMATIVE AS ON PREVIOUS STAYS. I CAME WITH TWO FRIENDS AND WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE MY VISA CARD IN TO AUTHORISE 'ADD ONS' I THEN DECIDED TO PAY ON MY CARD THE FULL AMOUNT IE 179 POUNDS FOR ALL THREE OF US. WHEN I GOT BACK TO ENGLAND MY TWO FRIENDS GO THE EQUIVALENT OF £54 FOR THEIR EUROS WHICH MEANT IN TOTAL I WAS £18 OUT OF POCKET. THIS I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE BECAUSE WE HAD THE EUROS TO PAY IN FULL AT THE RECEPTION BUT BECAUSE OF THE RECEPTIONS STAFFS LACK OF KNOWLEDGE AND MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE I FELT IT WAS THE DECENT THING TO GIVE MY TWO FRIENDS THE EXTRA £6 EACH WHEN WE GOT BACK. OTHER MIFFS WERE A WEDDING PARTY WAS VERY LOUD, WE WERE REFUSED THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE LOCAL TAXI FIRM BY RECEPTION STAFF. ALL IN ALL VERY DISAPPOINTING IN COMPARISON TO PREVIOUS STAYS AT YOUR HOTEL.
