Probably the best location of ANY hotel in Dresden for those who want to soak up the city's baroque splendours! The modernist design of the rooms, and their comfort, was first rate, and the staff - as always in Germany - were polite, friendly, and always extremely helpful. Absolutely first rate.
One minor gripe, and one that is common to most mainland European hotels. Unlike the UK (and increasingly the USA) there were no in-room tea/coffee making facilities. It is so much nicer to wake up and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee or tea in bed, rather than to get showered, dressed, and go down to the dining room for one's first hot drink of the day. But a minor compaint, which in no way detracts from a wonderful experience.

Firstly the location - within walking distance to most attractions and the river. The breakfast was superb with a range of terrific food to choose from with efficient service. The staff were helpful and professional. The rooms were perfect with clever storage and every comfort.

Mostly the central location and friendly and helpful staff.
I think that the hotel should offer complimentary Wifi.
