Good location, friendly.

Attractive house in good location

I'll be opting for this place over the Parador which was where initially I wanted to stay--this place is located in a far more interesting part of town near the local hubbub--hardly a tourist (foreign) in sight! Wonderful cobbled walks (no cars) from the very top of the hill to the bottom. Very helpful staff, very good restaurant . .. like I said, I'd love to go back soon.

We stayed in 6 different hotels over a period of 9 days and our stay at the Hotel Leonor de Aquitania was the worst experience we had. We were kept awake until 2am by a group of schoolchildren in adjoining rooms, just a few doors away from us. They appeared to be unsupervised. I went to see them first about 10.30pm as they were making a terrible noise, shouting & laughing. My husband asked them to be quiet at midnight. At 1am the doors were banging loudly between their rooms about every 2 mins and they were continuing to chat loudly. My husband got dressed and went to see the receptionist - as well as the students - and he was informed that reception would ring the students' room. There was some peace for about 30mins & then someone started to talk to the students in the corridor - possibly a teacher or hotel employee - and after 2am there was no noise until their radio started playing in the morning - with their bedroom doors open. I cannot understand how the hotel would allow such young & irresponsible students to be unsupervised. I cannot understand how the receptionist could not hear the din upstairs & do something about it immediately. This was all made a lot worse by the fact that the doors shut loudly at any time - never mind when being operated every couple of minutes (& I am not exaggerating the time here). So we left in the morning having had a very stressful night, little sleep & no apology. I do not therefore rate this hotel at all well and would suggest that others do not stay there.
