The hospitality was excellent and we felt like home. My 3 children (19, 17, 15) liked the spacious rooms and flat screens. The table service was very nice as very friendly staff. We all ate very well despite the small negative comment. But overall everything was perfect and we will come back well. Lunched very rich and very varied.

The map menu is fairly limited in terms of both dishes and desserts. As a starter, the dish of pasta served with mushrooms is really to eliminate or improve. I know fungi are quite expensive, but it seemed to eat only pasta.

A very good base location for exploring Colmar city on foot, if you like just a little bit of fresh air. You need only to walk 500m up to 1 km to cover the city center down to inncluding little Venise. This is a hotel with very good potential, some of it still unused. In our view, few but immportant improvements are needed. First, enhance the sleeping comfort (softer beds) and second, ensure to extend the receptionists' friendliness, quality and service also to the breakfast (stop using the current dreadful "salle de manger" - the nice restaurant is there already). After all, most of us tourists are looking for mainly a friendly good place to sleep and to have our breakfast. Colmar city provides the rest. If this basicly very charming hotel gets its priorities right - it will quickly score a 10 in my book.

The receptionsit staff were extremely helpful, kind and smiling. Very clean and tidy hotel. Nice and charming building, although just outside the most pitoresque part of Colmar.

Extremely hard beds in our room - no good rest and we woke up with a back ache. The pillows were microscopic, no extras in the room. The breakfast room regretfully is a charmless eighties add-on (apparently) to the main house - why not use the very nice hotel reataurant at the front? Also the breakfast itself was sub-standard, only a narrow selection of the bare necessities, and the hostess did not pay attention to re-fill the key commodities, as e.g. all the good bread had been eaten.
