Individuality - the hotel was like no other we have used, had character and class - a touch of luxury.
We did not have a problem with the lack of a lift to the upstairs rooms, but it could be a problem to others if we recommend the hotel.

It is very accessible off the M25. Very secluded & private. Nice little haven. Lovely to sit on the lawn on the longest day of the year, & see the full moon.
Staff asked if it was my first visit but made no effort to explain the facilities when I said Yes. It was very warm & I was surprised there was no airconditioning. The staff suggested that I open the windows & offered to put a fan in the room. Towels provided were only for 1 person & when I asked at the desk, they offered me the towels provided for guests using the pool.

It is in a lovely location. The rooms are a bit small but very well organised, functional and comfortable.
I really do not like the credit card surcharge. It smells of being cheap, of getting in on Ryan Air's act. I would have preferred if the price had just been £2.50 higher in the first place.

The ability to move around into different relaxing rooms downstairs. Tea/coffee avaiability at all timesRRoom
Room 440 continuous running generator all night at a relatively high level. Theroom was changed next morning.

A fantastic hotel in a lovely setting. A couple of minor issues on the housekeeping front, such as the bulb had gone in the table lamp and the door handle to the bathroom was loose, but these did not detract from our enjoyment.

However the hotel had great facilities and was great value for money.

Lounges, gm, swimming pool, car parking, grounds etc
Bar and bar snacks a little pricey.2 nights were very humid and there was no air conditioning.
