Main reason for choosing Hotel Golf Can Rafel: Location
Terrific staff and location. I really needed a GPS to get to the hotel, but the reception was worth it. Wonderful views and climate, up in the mountains, overlooking a pitch and putt golf course (10 Euros to play). It was located 20 km from Barcelona and we drove it several times. Easiest to drive to a subway stop and take the subway in. (Lots of parking near Hortas Maze, good park too) The restaurant had a great view.
The restaurant served gourmet food, excellent service and food quality, but for four nights, basic meals could easily exceed the cost of hotel stay. Local restaurants that might have provided an option were down the mountain, with limited parking.
