ibis Cardiff Gate - International Business Park

This Ibis was well up to the usual high standard (for the price) of all of the others we have stayed at across Europe

This Ibis was not signed very well on the approach road - we spent about 20 mins driving around the area searching before we came upon it almost by accident

I liked everything that I have not mentioned in the box below and I would recommend the hotel.

The temperature on the shower was set at 38 degrees but would produce only cold water. I did move the dial to other temperatures but still no hot water came. I had to wash my hair etc etc in the wash hand basin. I reported the problem but it was too early for anyone to investigate. On returning in the evening I found that the dial had been returned to 38 degrees and there was still no hot water. The gentleman at the desk came to investigate and discovered that, if the dial was moved so that it pointed to no temperature, hot water would come. Also, there did not seem to be ready information about public transport. A map showing where the buses from the city centre stop and a timetable showing their frequency would have been most helpful. Information about the nearest Park and Ride would have been invaluable. The young lady on the desk knew about the existence of the buses but had no clear idea of times nor was able to explain exactly where they stopped.
