Very expensive restaurant, given there's no alternative close-by i didn't have any option and then was forced to eat at 9pm, even though there was only me - surely they could've made room for 1 person! wine was ridiculously expensive, i paid the australian equivalent for a glass of a particular wine that i would normally pay for the entire bottle! nice for a special occassion with a partner, but wouldn't stay here for leisure again, the room was priced reasonably but everything else was just too expensive. oh and the leisure club was closed for 5 days "due to a wedding" - why on earth would they need to close the leisure club for 5 days for a wedding - are they getting married on the treadmills???

Superb location and good choice of food; additionally one could walk on some of the surrounding 150 acres belonging to the hotel

The plumbing needs a good overhaul. The toilet flush in our bedroom was the worst ever experienced in any hotel and the the used water from the washbasin took an age to empty.

Excellent food, large room and good, comfortable bed.
