Hotel Adornes

The quiet, the cleanliness, rik at the front desk, very knowledgable especially about 1950s american rock and roll!

No, but I do think for the nightly rate they should not charge if you want an electric kettle in your room. That said, we were not charged for it even though a card advised we would be.

We really liked it that the hotel was a beautiful ten minute walk from the busy centre. Rik on reception was so helpful in advising us on sightseeing and also steered us towards local restaurants away from the overpriced ones in the centre. He also put up a list every evening of things to do the next day. His suggestions were not in the main centre but in the area around the hotel and not listed in any of the guide books and following his suggestions we had the best day of all. We also loved the free bikes. This is such a lovely hotel in a perfect position.

Everything. The situation is perfect, on a canal in a quiet area, yet a couple of mins from the centre. The welcome is warm and the staff helpful as you could wish. The bedrooms are spotless and the linen changed every day. The rooms are minimally, but adequately furnished and the buffet breaKfast varied and delicious.

Not one single thing.

Staff was extremely helpful. Bikes were fantastic.

The Adornes is by far my favourite hotel in Belgium. The staff are very friendly,accommodating, and more than happy to suggest a variety of places to visit and dine out which you wouldn't find in guidebooks. The location is central (less than 5 mins walk to the main attractions) yet just far enough out of the crazy bustle of the main square which makes it a haven and more homely than the other larger hotels in the area, as well as being extremely good value for money. The authenticity and hospitality of the Adornes make it the ideal hotel to experience Brugges as it should be, exploring the side streets and finding the many special places it has to offer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The use of bikes is an added bonus.

Our first room was a bit noisy as it was on the corner at the front. They moved us to a quiet room at the back without any bother.

Closeness to the center of the city.

The shower facilities were not up to our liking. Not a walk-in shower.

The hotel was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. We would be happy to return and we would certainly recommend it to others. The hotel is located just beyond the main tourist concourse but is within easy walking distance of the principal attractions. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The staff were most obliging and the breakfast facilities were good. The room was very comfortable and the hotel very homely. It is difficult to offer any appraisal of the value for money, but the pound is currently very weak against the euro and as a consequence European prices are bound to seem high.

The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and helpful in what to do in Brugge. Brugge is a lovely town and Adornes is an easy walk through the town.

The rooms are comfortable but by USA standards a little sparse, but this was not a problem.

The only slight gripe would be lack of standing shower facility in our room (had shower head attached to bath taps).
