Friendly easygoing atmosphere. This is an old hotel which has been refurbished and although it lacks the modern glitz of other seafront hotels on the Brighton front it has some character and is better positioned for such Brighton delights as the Lanes and the pier than other grander hotels
There is a tiny old-fashioned lift and a lot of dirt around window panes and ledges which remind one of the age of the place

My second room had a splendid view and breakfast was good
I was initially checked into a room that was frankly very shabby and not too clean. When I asked about an alternative I was offered another for a £20 uograde, which I accepted, but the standard between the two rooms could not have been compared

The entrance was impressive n the brekfast was very good we came to the gala evening which we all loved food n music great thank you

Noise from clubs etc at night - you need better double-glazing!

The breakfasts were superb. Location in relation to The Lanes and Pier. Staff were courteous
Further to the above we did not like the proximity to the Night Clubs - very noisy until 3.30am!

My second stay. Excellent hotel and excellent service. Great location.

Athmosphere, generous size of room/bathroom.
This time room not properly tidied. Although clean, several items belonging to previous occupant had been left in room.

The hotel location and room were nice, but the noise was a big problem. i understand the outside noise but the corridors were not soundproofed at all - we could hear everyone as they came and left. the alarm went off incessantly during the night, but the staff apologised and provided a discounted rate, with which I was impressed.

Globaly it's a great value to stay in Brighton, but in spite of it all it is not a four stars as indicated.

Look hotel old ship inside the hotel.
Noise sound-proofing Frontage not god looking No parking facilities for customer

Poor 4 star hotel, a good 3 star maybe. Rooms are small and poorly maintained though clean. Front rooms offer great view but very noisy due to traffic and late night drinkers. Try another hotel.
