Very close proximity to the airport. Very clean and well appointed. Very clean and well kept room. Very nice bed perfect for a good night's sleep. Nice breakfast buffet. I appreciated the free wifi something all hotels should provide.

Room was fine, though these sorts of rooms tend to be too small. Using the twin beds with two adults and their baggage it is a little hard to move around. But this is only a minor concern. For a short stay it is perfect.

I booked 2 one-night stays at the Escale, a few days apart. I asked the hotel if I could leave my car in the hotel car park while I was abroad, and was told no, only for the nights I was a guest of the hotel - for the other nights I'd have to put it in one of the (expensive) airport car parks. In Nantes it seemed to me that there was plenty of space in the hotel car park, so I just left my car there while I was away. It was very convenient, and there were no repercussions (like clamping, for example). Why was I told I couldn't leave the car there, when I evidently could? Offering free parking while guests are away would be a strong selling point for the hotel! Terry Moran
