Great Hotel to stay in Bergamo. Good sized room, fully functional facilities and bathroom and a very clean. Staff very helpful and excellent people handling skills. Good breakfast to wake up to. Location is also great with the airport bus and transport facilities all within short walking distances.

The location is great, walking distance to everything.
When you pay 175 euros for a night of car parking should be included. Parking a car costing 14 euros. Some arrogant staff received.

The unlimited free Wifi was great - we very much appreciated that. Everyone on the staff was really friendly and courteous and helpful, and the nice lady who cleaned our room every day was especially kind and accommodating to our erratic schedule. (My wife and I were there for over a week, partly on business.)
Lack of English TV channels. We would have liked to at least have had CNN or SkyNews. The only English we found was a movie channel that alternated between English and Italian (and the movies were old and not very good).

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Excelsior San Marco. It is a modern hotel and overall we rate it very highly and would definitely recommend it to others. Bergamo was a wonderful surprise and the hotel's proximity both to the Citta Alta and the lower town was very convenient. Excellent public transport and lots of places to visit.
Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast choice and quality very good. Breakfast times started early and finished late. Very good, spacious air conditioned room with balcony with perfect view of the Citta Alta, very comfortable and modern equipment of good quality.
Disappointing that, other than on one day, the only sit down evening meal available in the hotel was the high luxury high priced restaurant. Other than room service, you could not obtain a normal evening meal and there seem to be no restaurants near by. No tea making facility in the room.
