We had a very nice stay at Rafaelhoteles Diagonal Port. The hotel was very clean and the staff most helpful. We particularly liked the location being close to the beach, but very accessible to other places of interest and within a short distance of local transport which got us into various parts of the city quite quickly.

No Air conditioning in the room, when asked to fix the air con was told that it was winter and would not switch it on. In Flexible reception staff who were seen "Making Out" with one another on more than one occasion. The last day my wife nearly had her bag stolen while sitting in reception.

Quiet location, ideal if you want to spend time on the beach but quite a walk to the metro. We did not use the restaurant as it did not seem to have much atmosphere. There is a lot of building work going on round the hotel which will probably improve the area once it is finished but led to disruption crossing the road to the beach. Our room was very comfortable but the air conditioning was programmed and could not be turned down only turned off. My printout said that the internet connection was free of chargebut when we enquired we were told we would have to pay for this.

It is a great hotell with a very friendly and helpfull staff who helpd us when our bagage got lost during the flight down to Barcelona. We loved our room, the only thing we missed was not having a balcony. It is located nearby the beach so it took only like 5-10 min to walk down to the beautiful beach. And even thou the hotell is located very close to the freeway you couldn't hear the traffic. The hotel is located a bit from the city, but the metro takes you in to city in 15 min or so, we also thought their breakfast were quite expensive, at least for our budget, but instead you can go shop your breakfast and other meals in a supermarket nearby. We would gladly return to Rafaele Hoteles, because it was a very pleasent experience, however it requires a bit more travelmoney than an ordinary student can aquire.
