Friendly and helpful staff, great location for local trips to southern Bavaria.
Like many European Hotels, the 'air conditioning' is really a circulation system. In August the rooms were uncomfortable even with the fan the staff quickly provided. If this had been during the cooler times of the year I would have the comfort and quality 2 or 3 points higher.

The wide choice and quality of food at breakfast. We aso enjoyed a very good dinner in the restaurant. The peace and quiet in the bedroom and the helpfulness of the staff.

Even though our room had been newly renovated, the beds were a disappointment. They were hard and no padding on them at all.

I like everything about the hotel. I much prefer the rooms in the old part of the hotel looking onto the street, and would say that for me its either these or nothing.
Given its great....to nitpick I am not crazy about some elements of the decor...the three black chandeliers in the reception are a serious taste misfire (even if they are a visual pun on the drei mohren, its a really uncomfortable one), and the velvet room cushions (presumably with unreplaced covers) on the fresh pillows are a hygiene nono.

Great breakfast buffet and service bar, reception and restaurant
The room temperature was clearly too low (Aussentemperatung - 10 degrees). While it was a heater made available to the managed some redress.
