Smy Carlos V Alghero

Excellent hotel,courteous professional friendly and helpful staff and wonderful sea views.

It rained for 3 days during our 7 day stay. We found the english TV channels, and movies very limited, a small library but no facilities for renting and playing dvd's exists. We found the restaurant was of a high standard and the charges in line with other restaurants in Alghero. I would recommend this hotel to any discerning traveller.

We had no complaints whatsoever with this hotel - it ticked all the boxes, would recommend it to our friends and could go back again.

We stayed in the hotel during March and had a wonderful time. The superior room with sea view & balcony which we had booked were amazing. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. Breafast was served in a lovely bright restaurant and the food and service were great. All the hotel staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. The town is about 20 mins walk along the sea front which is exactly what you need after a great meal in one of the many restaurants in Alghero town. You could spend hours wandering around the narrow streets and the harbour though the shops close for a couple of hours at lunchtime. If I were staying for more than a few days again I definintely would hire a car and explore the island and the caves. (Overall no complaints about anything from all of us)

I only had a few days on this break, but I had been there last July for holidays and I was just as impressed this time with the Carlos V. The Hotel is top class in its Rooms, Lounges, Dining Room etc. I have to say their most valuable asset has to be their staff. From the moment one is greeted warmly by Reception Staff, the Porter who took my bag,through to the wonderful Dining Room Staff and Bar Staff I can only compliment all of them. I look forward very much to my next visit.

We stayed for three nights in Hotel Carlos V in Alghero. Our room had a sea view which was breathtaking and the balcony was really spacious so even though it was early February and a little bit chilly, we sat out there in the evening, drinking the local prosecco and enjoying the view. It was a short walk to the centro storico and the location suited us perfectly because although we were within walking distance of bars and restaurants the hotel itself was very quiet. The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly, particularly the restaurant maitre d' who really went out of his way to give us advice on things to do and see. We ate dinner in the hotel the first night and the food was lovely but as it was off season there was only one other table occupied so it lacked atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent each morning. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and well-appointed.
