Grand Muthu Forte da Oura

We had paid extra for a sea view, and were allocated room 217, which is unique in that it is in the corner of the front elavation just behind the facade at the entrance. I believe this is the worst balcony on the front elevation. Granted you could see the sea if you stood on your toes and stretched out in the right corner of the balcony.We were told that it had a good pool view, but again you could only see the pool when you were standing in that right corner. We immediately went back to the reception, but was not able to help us but told us to check with reception the following morning. The following morning they had sorted the problem and had an alternative room that was suitable. Not a great start to our week, but all went well after that. When we booked the hotel we knew where it was, which was an ideal position for both the shops and restaurants at Montochoro, and also the Oura Beach. We did not use the Hotel dining or bar facilies, so cannot comment on them. Was a nice pool and pool area. No pool towels were provided, although we had expected that a 4 star would have provided them. It was unusual that there was no hairdryer in the room, but we asked reception and were able to borrow one for a Euro15 returnable deposit. Beds were very hard and they could do with upgrading their mattresses. All of that sounds negative, but overall there were more pluses than minuses and we would go back again.

WE ENJOYED A CONFORTABLE AND RELAXING STAY AT FORTE DA OURA.THE STAFF WERE VERY PLEASENT AND HELPFULL AND THE FACILITIES WERE FIRST RATE...WE WILL BE BACK.

Excellent in every way, absolutely recommended for value for 'money.
