The world’s largest harbor until 2004, Rotterdam has always been known as an industrial port city. But there’s so much more to see on your Rotterdam holiday, and Eurobookings.com can help you make sense of the wide variety of hotel choices in the second largest city in the Netherlands. Eurobookings.com gives you many options in choosing your Rotterdam hotel room. You can browse Rotterdam hotels by their location, seeing which are near such sites as Erasmus University>, the Luxor Theater Rotterdam, Sparta Stadium>, the small Rotterdam Airport> and even the larger Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, just 47 kilometers away. Hotel rooms can also be found in order of their popularity, star rating and the size and age of your group. Each hotel listing includes photographs and an area map and a comprehensive list of hotel amenities, so you can confidently make your Rotterdam reservations.
The first thing you notice upon leaving the Rotterdam Central Rail Station is that, unlike other Dutch cities, the city center (known as the Stadcentrum>) is new. This is due to its destruction in the bombings of World War II. As a result, this neighborhood is filled with interesting modern structures, such as the Cube Buildings, and many of the hotels in this area are modern. For a view of older Rotterdam, you can view buildings like the city hall, which has many hotel rooms around it. Rotterdam museums are plentiful and excellent. You can stay in a hotel close to the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, where you can see Old Master works like Pieter Brueghel’s 1563 Tower of Babel and several works by Bosch. Or stay in a hotel near the Kunsthal, the Nederlands Fotomuseum or the Maritime Museum. There are also many hotels near the Rotterdam Zoom, the Arboretum Trompenburg and Euromast> in the Delfshaven District> which are also convenient to many hotel rooms.
Getting around Rotterdam can be fun in a water taxi, and some hotels rent cars and bicycles. For a special treat, you can stay in hotel near the Shipyard De Delft and see watch the construction of a replica 18th Century ship of the same name. Eurobookings.com hotel rooms come in all different sizes, prices and locations, whether you’re looking for a Rotterdam vacation accommodation, a business hotel or a hotel near the airport. Close
