The setting is incredible, the rooms lovely.
We were 2 couples traveling together and wished to have the less formal dinner at a beautiful table in the bar area rather in the unexciting small room that adjoins the bar where only one table has a view. We were told by wait staff and then by management that was not possible because the week before, someone in the bar complained about the smell of food there. Either management offered or we asked to dine in the formal dining room with the less expensive menu. That was agreed to but we were offered a table way off in a corner, a very undesirable table. So we ended up having dinner in the small room off the bar. Though we were determined to have a lovely evening despite the situation, we found the food expensive and disappointing.
