Some sights you won’t want to miss in Nuremberg’s Old Town include the City Walls, which date back to the 13th Century, the stunning St Sebald Church and St Lawrence Church, featuring the Tabernacel by Adam Kraft and the Greeting Angels by Veit Stoss. Both Churches were built from the 13th to 15th Centuries, and both Churches are conveniently close to many hotel rooms. A wide variety of Nuremberg hotels are also near the magnificent Castle, sections of which, like the five-cornered tower, dates back to 1050 and other sections, like the Kaiserstallung, were built as late as 1495. Nuremberg was also home to Painter Albrecht Dürer, and the house where he lived and painted from 1509 to 1528 is now a museum.
